Job Description

Test Engineer (Backend)Job Locations IN-MumbaiRequisition ID 2021-58368 Category Research & Development Whats the role As a Test Engineer in our E2E Testing & Test Practices team a variety of tasks and responsibilities will be waiting for you. The most important ones are:

  • Testing our products and solutions from end-to-end perspective with strong focus on end-user experience
  • Planning what to test and not to test using automation, what should be tested manually and what not at all
  • Designing, developing, executing and maintaining our test suites, test frameworks and testing infrastructure
  • Investigating various problems in our complex systems in close collaboration with development teams
  • Communicating the feedback you gathered through testing patiently and effectively to the right persons in the organization
  • Continuously make our practices and results better
  • Developing your own skills and spread them to others
Who are you You are a go-getter, with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving and debugging skills.You will be using tools like pact.io, JMeter, git, GitLab, and whatever suits us best. Experience in these is not mandatory but the desire and curiosity to learn is mandatory. We expect programming is not new to you. We will ask you to show your skills programming and test something for us so you can demonstrate your expertise there as well. Furthermore you have the following:
  • Bacherlors/Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including development and/or test automation experience
  • Experience in Backends and API testing
  • Understanding of web technologies e.g. REST interfaces
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and ability to work with shell
  • Experience with performance and load testing of back-end services (e.g. JMeter)
  • Microservices architecture testing (e.g. contract tests, pact.io tool)
