Job Description

Overall supervision of the Units under purview.Ensure Client Meetings at Regular Intervals with proper agenda and documentation.Ensure all clients minutes are circulated and executed, tracked to the logical conclusion Ensure monetary and non-monetary tracking / receivable for Custody clients.Proper execution of all corporate action details Work closely with Business team to bring down the exceptions across all processes in Holding Reconciliations and appraising the clients on periodic basis.If exceptions are not cleared by the clients then escalating to senior management.Ensure deliverables are forwarded to clients on agreed intervals / as per SLA.Ensure that BCP is performed for the critical activities of Custody & Fund Accounting Operations every quarter.Periodic review of accounts and processes to ensure adherence to the agreed processes and eliminate the scope for financial exposure.Ensure Zero write-off due to processing errors.Ensure timely & accurate submission of reports to Regulators (SEBI & RBI) as per the defined schedule.Monitoring recovery of Custody charges.Monitoring of Custody Suspense accounts and reporting the same in SAMSA / BCU / CCU.Review of Critical processes and initiate process changes if required.Liaise with external agencies / regulators for issues affecting operations.Discuss and finalize internal / external / regulatory audit reports.Ensure compliance of SOX related & ISO related activities.Ensure accurate computation of NAV for the Schemes of the Mutual Fund and Insurance Companies.Portfolio appraisal reports for all underlying clients of Portfolio Managers and AUM reporting Process Improvements &Cost; Savings To identify processes / activities for process improvement, automation and cost reduction this will result in improved productivity & TAT.Constant efforts should be made to reduce the cost incurred in any of the department under our unit.Monitor projects identified and ensure smooth implementation.Periodical reviews all relevant processes with a view to eliminate or minimize manual intervention and explore room for Automation People Management through Reward & Recognition Have in place mechanism to measure staff productivity and performance, provide guidance and give feedback to one downs and team members.Have succession plan in place and draw up career path for the team members.Ensure relevant and adequate training to staff.Monitor NISM certification for all the team members.Monitor staff leave and ensure high morale amongst all team members Capacity Planning & Business Support Monitor Productivity and errors of team.Liase with business team and plan for capacity/ infrastructure.Provide inputs for meetings with Regulators for improvement in controls.Visit regulators to participate in important discussions and meetings.Participate with Business for giving presentations to forthcoming Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies and Portfolio Managers for Fund Accounting Services and NBFCs for IPA Services Filling out RFPs as and when required.Regulatory Compliance To act as Compliance Liasioning Officer (CLO) for Custody & Fund Accounting Operations To ensure related certifications are provided to SEBI / RBI / Stock Exchanges / Clearing Corporations / Depositories as per the schedule defined.To provide relevant circulars to clients and implement the same in operations vertical.Audits To ensure smooth audit, of daily NAV, Quarterly internal and statutory audit by the Clients auditors and SEBI auditors.To clarify the audit observations if any and prepare the annual accounts as specified by the statutory auditors with the necessary schedules.SkillsSales and Influencing SkillsBanking Product & Process KnowledgeNRI Product and Regulatory KnowledgePlanning and Organizing SkillsCommunicationKnowledge of Competition & Current trends in financial Industry.QualificationsGraduation Post-Graduation ACA / CA Certifications: AMFI Certification (Optional) IRDA Certification (Optional) NCFM Certification (Optional) CAIIB (Optional) Internal Certification (NR Modules),
