Job Description

    *Role Responsibilities Liquidity, FTP and IRRBB GPO function is a 150+ strong Centre of Excellence under Global Finance Services focussing on SCB wide Balance Sheet Information Management, Reporting and Analytics. This includes Liquidity, Funds Transfer Pricing, and Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book (IRRBB) reporting, decision support and other analytics.The Treasury Function at SCBTreasury works closely with senior management, the businesses, Country CEOs / CFOs, and Finance to manage and promote the bank s liquidity, capital, and balance sheet position. Treasury is laser-focussed on its vision to be Open, progressive and trusted, working commercially with our partners to create sustainable value by balancing the supply and demand of liquidity and capital.Within Treasury (which comprises Capital, Liquidity & Markets), the Treasury Liquidity function is responsible to driving the strategic liquidity agenda, including Funds Transfer Pricing ( FTP ) and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Booking ( IRRBB ). The Liquidity, FTP and IRRBB team works with key stakeholders at the country level to ensure policy application, and with a broader universe of stakeholders to ensure the application of policy is appropriate to drive the strategic outcomes for the balance sheet. The foundation for this is the identification, risk capture and measurement of interest rate characteristics of client facing exposures. A key function of the FTP approach is to neutralise, to the extent feasible, the interest rate risk in the business, primarily by transferring this risk to Treasury. This is done by using an internal pricing mechanism between the Treasury and the business that matches the underlying interest rate used between the business and their clients for the given asset, liability, or portfolio.The role of Lead, FTP Analytics, will be focused on creating relevant, consistent, and timely information to make better commercial decisions. Specifically, providing sound data analytics to leverage FTP as an effective balance sheet tool in driving Group Return on Tangible Equity (RoTE). This includes building an understanding of how movement in rates affects client pricing across the bank s product suite. The role will work directly with several teams primarily FTP Policy, Change, Finance, and Technology while partnering closely with the Business, End users of rates (pricing) and other parts of Treasury.Key responsibilities include:
    1. Partnering with the Treasury Liquidity (FTP) team to design and produce:
      1. Insightful MI, including commentary on drivers of variances
      2. Ad-hoc analyses based on business requirement
    2. Proactively lead and build relationship with Group and Regional teams and manage stakeholder relationship across Finance, Treasury and Business
    3. Growth and development of people within the team
    Strategy Partner with Treasury Liquidity (FTP) team in developing FTP MI strategy, which is as follows:
    1. Ensure FTP provides the right incentives to Business to steer Balance Sheet outcome and drive Group RoTE
    2. Inform client pricing decisions on a forward-looking basis
    3. Facilitate consistent performance management review across countries & business
    4. Ensure FTP reflects the appropriate Liquidity valuation in each country:
    Leverage investment in the strategic FTP platform to deliver MI strategy and improve outcomes in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and insight.Business While the below is not exhaustive, the role will aim to achieve the below core objectives based on business priorities:
    1. Build quick and efficient analytics (MI) that can be consumed by key stakeholders (primarily the Treasury Liquidity (FTP) team) to make day to day key decisions:
      1. Quickly become an SME in the bank s FTP data flow from booking system to general ledger. This will involve understanding the underlying FTP system and data architecture in depth.
      2. Analyse and work on building solutions with the tools that are currently available within the bank s resources to produce MI catering to the stakeholder needs.
    1. Ensure FTP provides the right incentives to Business to steer Balance Sheet outcome and drive Group RoTE:
    1. Sensitivity analysis of Business Performance to changes in the FTP curve.
    2. Sensitivity analysis of Client Performance across products to changes in FTP curve.
    1. Inform client pricing decisions on a forward-looking basis:
    1. Product FTP rates projections based on underlying market forward curves.
    1. Facilitate consistent performance management review across countries & business:
    1. Comparative NIM analysis with client pricing and ftp rates by Business & Countries.
    1. Ensure FTP reflects the appropriate liquidity valuation in each country:
    1. Clear attribution of FTP income by basis risk, liquidity term premium and cost of liquidity to facilitate an FTP neutral framework.
    2. Weighted Average Cost & Marginal Cost of funds analysis by country.
    3. Sources & uses of funds by Tenor & Regulatory consumption.
    All the above MI will need to be segregated into interest rate and liquidity components and a total all in FTP.Processes Responsible for the execution of MI strategy, and delivery of assurance with regards to data sourcing, calculations, and generation of MI.Establish nimble and agile process for generating required MIs coupled with robust control and governance to ensure timeliness and accuracy of deliverables.People and TalentBuild, lead, coach and develop team of highly skilled individuals through example to build the appropriate culture and values, focussing on engagement and retention.Set appropriate objectives for the team and provide regular feedback with regards to those objectives and ensure the team benefits from ongoing training and development in relation to their roles.Responsibility to review team structure in relation to the relevant objectives.Risk Management Build appropriate process controls for accurate calculations and monitor the same for handling exceptions.Establish adequate documentation around new functionalities, Processes, and Target Operating Model.Build a control mindset within the team to proactively identify control gaps in the end-to-end MI generation processes and work towards remediating the same.GovernanceAdhere to the governance by leveraging data quality and operational risk forums as applicable.Monitor, implement and review of controls and issues that arise from the audit and other review activities.Regulatory & Business Conduct
