*AutomationThe Automation squad operates as a Center of Excellence (COE) that champions Operational Excellence by: 1. Providing Operations with tools, analytics and insights into people and activities involved in the execution of processes 2. Supporting implementation of process automation tools and solutions to automate the workflow and eliminate manual steps and tasksPA(C)E India Program:1. Drive the implementation of PA(C)E India strategy for Platforms, Agile and Employee Co-location with focus on leveraging established and emerging technologies in partnership with IT to ensure that all areas sustain continuous improvement The main responsibility of this role is to:1. Support the global lead in driving automation and provide Officer oversight to automation squads, review data for quality, maintan standards, manage vendors, engage and communicate with the Operations organization to improve workflows, liaise with Technology to enhance the tools and reporting, administer user queries. The VP will also engage in projects and initiatives as needed to support the Operations organization. The main focus of the role will be to engage with Global Operations support and drive the adoption of automation and workflows by Operations teams.2. Provide Officer Oversight to the PA(C)E India team3. Manage vendor sourcing and contracting and sustain relationship4. Drive career progression of the squads and teams and establish the Center of Excellence, *Key Focus Areas and core competencies sought 1. Automation Strategy, Governance & Fleet support 2. Resource and Vendor Diligence (and relationship management) 3. India Change Leadership and talent support The resource must be able to demonstrate skill in four key area: 1. Operations Excellence: Drive automation, workflows and strategy 2. Team Mentoring and Coaching: Demonstrate leadership and coaching skills 3. Vendor Management : Vendor hiring, negotiations and hiring for the Change Community 4. Stakeholder management: Demonstrate skilled management of complex stakeholder management matrices 5. Problem Structuring, Analysis and Quantification: ability to frame and disaggregate high level problems and structure collaborative analyses 6. Technical ability: depth in MS tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel/Word, SharePoint, Jive etc.) to optimize efficiency and communication and provide value through improved business intelligence and metrics. 7. Data and Analytics: develop and enhance analytics to demonstrate value from the Process Understanding toolset by deriving insights to drive process and productivity improvements. Skills Required Needs to demonstrate a strong track record and understanding / capability as follows: - University degree or higher educational qualifications. Preferred emphasis in Business Administration, Operations Management - Excellent stakeholder management and experience with strategies - Agile, financial reporting (production, interpretation) - Experience with business process improvement initiatives and strong grasp of concepts and toolkit to drive Operational Excellence (e.g. Six Sigma or Lean techniques, Huddles, Root Cause Problem Solving, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, deep-dive process discovery, idea generation) - Excellent written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and strong presentation / training skills for interacting with colleagues, departmental management in a cross-divisional setting. - Self-confident/motivated in achieving business outcomes in collaborative team settings and through virtual work with teams in multiple locations - Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment - Intrinsic business sense, listening and analytical skills with innate inquisitiveness and desire to challenge the status quo - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools Skills Desired - Project Management and/or Agile / Kanban certification - Knowledge of Morgan Stanley / Morgan Stanley Operations - Professional experience in banking and financial services (preferred in capital markets) - Understanding of the trade lifecycle and the downstream requirements of trade and financial data
