Investment Risk & Analytics Investment Risk VP JPMorgan Chase & Co. Mumbai, IndiaWM Investment Risk & Analytics (IR&A) performs investment risk oversight of wealth management businesses from end to end across the Private Bank and Consumer Bank globally. We cover all investing activities, from product onboarding to ongoing monitoring and governance, in order to proactively manage risks arising from the management of over $1 trillion in AUM. Reporting to the Global Head of Investment Risk & Analytics, we are looking for strong leader who is enthusiastic about applying their investments expertise and people management skills towards leading the Investment Risk regional team. This individual will lead by example, develop and inspire a team of analytical risk managers to take an active role in advancing our global risk oversight agenda.Reporting to the Global Head of Investment Risk & Analytics you will have an opportunity to:
• Partner with team leads across IR&A globally to identify, measure and manage investment risks in the businesses we cover, across all asset classes.
• Lead a team of risk managers in contributing towards global investment risk oversight activities.
• Set up and/or enhance risk management processes and controls.
• Partner with Business in launching new initiatives and products
• Engage with our business partners to provide insights into the risks present in their businesses, promote risk awareness and a strong risk culture.
• Provide leadership for our innovation agenda including our program of developing risk analytics and advanced data visualizations to derive meaningful insights.
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues, and guide them towards realizing their full potential
• Develop a data & risk analytics framework in line with market best practices
• Enhance risk management controls and systems related to market risk and risk analytics
• Participate in periodic risk reviews in response to market events and emergent risks
About you:
• Have a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance or related fields
• At least 7 years financial industry experience, preferably in investments, risk management or related positions.
• Have experience in managing diverse and inclusive teams of high-performing contributors
• Appreciate the value of working in partnership with others to accomplish mutual goals
• Use your knowledge and experience to find answers to pressing problems and create workable solutions
• Are intellectually curious and demonstrate a willingness to take on responsibilities that might lay outside your immediate area of expertise
• Are comfortable working with large, diverse data sets
• While not a requirement, exposure to data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) or programming languages, or a willingness to learn these, is an added advantage
