Job Description

As a member of the Home Lending Analytics Risk team, the incumbent will be responsible for leading analytical and risk management solutions. This is a leadership position and involves significant responsibility across multiple functional areas, stakeholder management and people leadership. This role in the Home Lending Risk leadership team is focused on leading an eight member team of analysts and associates across portfolio monitoring and servicing; reporting and analytics.Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Lead the team to deliver reporting and dashboard-ing solutions, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Re-visit and evaluate existing set of reporting/ dashboard-ing solutions, with a view to drive efficiency and optimal usage. Manage a comprehensive schedule of reports and validation, across a large team, in an agile fashion.
  • Lead the team to deliver concrete analytical solutions to existing/new business problems using a combination of business understanding as well as robust statistical tools; propose data driven business strategies
  • Monitor and track reports/dashboards at regular intervals, with a view to identifying emerging trends/outliers and propose appropriate modifications from time to time
  • Work in a cross-functional, multi-geography team, effectively sharing knowledge and ideas; work with different business partners to create a collaborative work environment of learning as well as efficient execution
  • Partner with colleagues across risk and operations to help drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification and assessment within the business.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a group(s) of analytic professionals.
  • Strong communication skills, strong stakeholder management, coupled with the ability to be an effective team player, would be critical to this role.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in reporting and analytics, in the consumer lending/ retail banking space; mortgage banking/ risk experience is a plus.
  • Managerial experience in leading teams with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
  • Master s degree in relevant technical or quantitative fields (e.g., Mathematics, Finance, Business, Physics, Statistics, Operations Research and Economics), or Bachelor s degree in relevant technical/ quantitative fields with relevant work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills have the ability to present information confidently in a crisp and easily understandable way.
  • Ability to develop, recommend, and implement financial risk strategies based on well researched facts and analytics.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a desire to oversee the development of analysts on the team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with in time constraints in a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong partnership skills and an ability to provide structure and guidance amidst multiple stakeholders and in ambiguous situations.
