Job Description

We have fiduciary assets under supervision and assets under management/custody of over $4.8 trillion combined and are one of the largest asset and wealth managers in the world.Overall Purpose of the team to be supportedThe JP Morgan Asset Management JPMAM Vendor Management team is based across a number of locations in the EMEA region and India. Their mission is to support the growth of the asset management business by working with service providers to ensure delivery of high quality and cost effective services which meet its fiduciary obligations. Through Innovation, Agility, Global Coverage and Exceptional service they look to provide a holistic picture of the AM vendor landscape enabling a consistent global vendor view allowing them to respond to business demands and reflect the strategic demands of the JPMAM Business and their outsourced providers.The role requires cross functional collaboration across Asset Management and is intended to support the development and execution of the governance framework that will support senior management in discharge of their prescribed responsibility per local regulations for outsourcing including working with Governance teams for the Third Party Oversight (TPO)/Inter-Affiliate Oversight (IAO) framework.Responsibilities will include:

  • Build vendor data repository to manage key vendor engagement and commercial information.
  • Build out and maintain outsourcing registers and maps.
  • Develop reporting suite to meet ongoing vendor reporting commitments.
  • Manage bespoke outsourcing reporting requirements for Senior Management, Management Committees and Forums.
  • Play a leadership role in supporting the production of materials for the monthly Outsourcing Governance Forums.
  • Develop repository to support vendor RFI/RFP s, Due Diligence and Factsheets.
  • Produce timely and accurate scorecards and metrics, helping to improve the overall ratings for Asset Management globally.
  • Support vendor commercial review process by collating and analysing commercial information.
  • Participate in the vendor due diligence program including the development of due diligence questionnaire, reviewing responses, drafting due diligence reports and managing issues.
  • Support the vendor selection process, assisting with Request for Information/Proposals, reviewing information provided and developing the models for scoring of participants.
  • Research and collation of information relating to prominent suppliers that service the asset management industry.
  • Support the Vendor Management Project Management Office in sourcing and reporting project information.
  • Support the Vendor Management team in tracking issues, resolution and closure of actions and maintaining the due diligence tracker.
  • Perform quality assurance of the information contained within the engagement inventories.
  • Accountable for the periodic reviews of TPO/IAO metrics, engagement inventories.
  • Engage with the Corporate TPO/IAO Governance Team in any regulatory exam or request, External Audit, Internal Audit, ORO Testing or Compliance Testing interaction in the location where outsourcing is in scope.
  • Work closely with control function program leads in the region to leverage synergies and increase awareness.
Specific Role responsibilities:The successful VP candidate will be required to establish and develop a data management framework to support the AM business through the supplier management lifecycle. In addition the role will be support other core vendor management activities including supplier selection, commercial review and due diligence.As the role will requires a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders, applicants should possess good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with colleagues and business counterparts at varying levels of seniority; highly proficient with desktop data tools; analytical and problem solving skills; inquisitive nature and comfortable challenging current practices.Skills and Qualifications required
  • Have at least 12-15 years relevant experience of Fund Services.
  • Have a good understanding of financial / commercial subject matters.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English while dealing with multiple internal stakeholders maintaining good rapport with them
  • Strong MS Office suite skills (InfoPath, MS Access, Excel, Word, Tableau, Power Point, VISIO)
  • Proactive attitude, commitment to continuous learning, willing to challenge the status quo to improve process efficiency.
  • Ability to get things done in a dynamic and fast paced environment and effectively multi-task
  • Have excellent personal resource management such as time management.
  • Have the willingness and flexibility to be hands-on as needed and to take on ad hoc tasks outside of main responsibilities.
