Job Description

    Responsibilities:
    1. Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer
    2. Following a script, screenplay or outline Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
    3. Inputting graphics to enhance footage
    4. Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file
    5. Improving and correcting lighting, coloring and faulty footage
    6. Working closely with directors to present a final product that matches his or her vision
    7. Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
    8. Take a brief to grasp production teams needs and specifications
    9. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity
    10. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
    11. Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
    12. Create rough and final cuts
    13. Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
    14. Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
    15. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industrys best practices to maximize efficiency.
