Internal Audit provides independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of Morgan Stanley s internal control/ risk management and governance systems and processes.Data Analytics & Innovation auditors assist business and technology audit teams provide assurance over the business process/ application and system infrastructure controls that manage business risks and are responsible for understanding/ analyzing/ and testing the technology controls/ including those over data accuracy/ completeness and processing/ systems development/ application security and entitlements/ production management and technology governance. Individuals are also responsible for driving process and technology innovation within the department with a strong emphasis on automation and gaining deeper insights from our Firm s data.The Data Analytics team within Internal Audit is seeking a strong candidate to lead the Data Analytics team in Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for partnering with Data Analytics leads across regions as well as audit teams to develop and execute on the Data Analytics strategy for the departmentPrimary Responsibilities (Day Job) Partner with Data Analytics leadership and senior stakeholders within audit teams to help establish DA team s scope of work and projects. Co-ordinate with various stakeholders within Data Analytics and outside of it to deliver on planned projects Maintain strong client focus by building strong relationships with Firm-wide stakeholders and identify opportunities to utilize data analytics solutions and tools in Internal Audit Manage and develop the Data Analytics team in Mumbai, *Educational & Professional Credentials Bachelors in Information Technology/ Computing/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ or related fields 10-14 years of experience in related field of analytics preferably in banking sector Certifications in Tableau/ CISA/ CISSP/ Python etc. would be an advantage Skills and Qualities Strong communication and project management skills as well as the ability to thrive in a fast paced, multiple deliverables,team-oriented environment Ability to translate complex technical data concepts and language into business context Working knowledge of tools for data analysis, including Python, R and business intelligence products such as Tableau and Qlikview Experienced in the extraction and manipulation of large volumes of data, including the use of SQL and applications such as Alteryx or DataIKU for staging Familiar with database design concepts Basic understanding of financial markets, products and processes Experience in Internal Audit banking and capital markets would be an advantage Working understanding of data protection and data sensitivity rules and best practices Experience working with global teams Excellent communication skills/ both/ written and oral
