Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesWe are having an urgent requirement for the position of VP - IT Infrastructure with a leading Life Insurance Company in Mumbai. Designation: VP - IT Infrastructure Experience Required: 15+ Years Location: Mumbai, Thane Age - Below 43 Years Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the availability & uptime of the Data Center & Disaster Recovery site ( 99.5 % Uptime during Business Hours )
  • Improve response time for critical AAA Business applications
  • Respond to and resolve application access and performance issues.
  • Monitor application system including programs and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for application systems.
  • Plan and coordinate application migrations between systems.
  • Maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to applications or any production systems.
  • Analyze application transaction response time & ensure baseline is adhered to .
  • New technology Product evaluation
  • Good Communication skills and
  • Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
  • Identify & mitigate risks associated with production technology
  • Resolve application failures due to data entry errors or system errors,
  • Problem root cause identification and solution.
  • Application & Hardware sizing for business, service and resource capacity activities
  • Establish appropriate end-user application access control levels.
  • Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
  • Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
  • Research on emerging technology & products and suggest upgrades/packs/versions
  • Prepare advice & support Product evaluation & compatibility mapping
  • Replication of Application changes between Primary & Disaster recovery site with adherence to the RTO & RPO specified in the BCP manual
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Strong understanding of Datacenter Infrastructure application structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Working technical experience with Oracle , SQL, Solaris , Windows & SAN Storage platform .
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Feasibility studies ,technical advice and other Business support requirements
  • Define Audit standard & Compliance
Certifications : Good to Have (Not Mandatory) ITILv3 IT Service Management Framework ,
