Job Description

    *The Role Responsibilities Job Scope The successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery of multiple highly visible strategic Credit Risk programmes with the primary responsibilities around Development Manager activities.The candidate will be a natural leader and mentor with a driven yet pragmatic, delivery focused mindset and a desire to deliver constant business value through the effective and innovative use of technology. The candidate will be expected to take ownership, responsibility, and accountability for critical deliveries.The candidate will work closely with the other team members and senior stakeholders to design and implement critical strategic solutions whilst collaborating and engaging with Business Stakeholders to deliver to exact requirements. The candidate is expected to work in a dynamic global team with developers, project managers, business stakeholders and other technical experts across multiple locations.Key Responsibilities
    • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department and projects.
    • Play an active role in defining and improving the project and the application.
    • Deployment automation and monitoring of the application.
    • Developing appropriate solutions for the application based on the requirements.
    • Enhancing the features of the application based on the requirements.
    • Plan coordinate and support changes implementation activities test and Prod environment.
    Our Ideal Candidate
    • A Bachelor s degree in a numerate subject (e.g. science or engineering degree).
    • A motivated self-starter with ability to multitask but requires minimal supervision to meet challenging targets.
    • Able to operate both independently and as a team player with collaborative attitude.
    • Maintain high productivity in a fast-paced environment showing effective prioritization skills.
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    Technical Knowledge
    • Excellent Java knowledge and experience in developing scalable, multi-threaded applications.
    • Experience of developing 12 factor apps.
    • Good knowledge of dev ops tools like Jenkins, Docker, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory, and UpGuard.
    • Knowledge and experience of working on streaming based solution like using Kafka.
    • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and Messaging middleware.
    • Experience with XML technologies (XML, XSLT, Web Services and JAXB).
    • UNIX and Windows development experience.
    Preferred Domain Knowledge
    • Must have at least 10 years of hands on experience working as Developer.
    Other Preferred Skills
    • Understanding of financial markets business front / middle / back office
    • Proven exposure over a number of years of large project / programme involvement in financial markets.
    Role Specific Technical Competencies
    • Java knowledge and experience in developing scalable, multi-threaded applications.
    • Developing microservice in Java and Spring boot applications.
    • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory, and UpGuard.
    • Understanding of Cloud based deployment strategies and tools like OpenShift, Kubernetes, public cloud.
    • Understanding of OO design principles and patterns.
    • UNIX and Windows development experience.
    • Understanding of SQL queries and database objects.
    • Understanding of ELK stack.
