Processes include Security Custody Services, Remittances, Loans and Deposits and Security Masterfile Job Title: Manger Corresponds to Head of SCS Transfer team Date: 2022 Department: Wealth Management Operations ISPL Location: BNP Paribas India Solutions Private Limited (ISPL),Mumbai Business Line / Function: Wealth Management Reports to: (Direct) Head of Security & Custody Services Grade: (if applicable) (Functional) Number of Direct Reports: NA Directorship / Registration: NA Position Purpose Transfer team s goal is to ensure transfer of Securities by T+2 and ensure all cash and security breaks are timely reconciled . Also to process adhoc account closure fees and pierodic fees Responsibilities i) Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control frameworkii) Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelinesiii)Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management Systemiv)Contribute to the optimal quality customer service in securities processing
    1. Managing the Transfer teams to ensure timely and accurate processing.
    2. Ensure that the Transfer teams are adequately staff and trained.
    3. Review existing procedures and document new procedures in the sections.
    4. Handle queries from operations management, other departments, RMs/MAs and Advisory Desk.
    5. Liaise closely with other departments and external institutions/custodians to ensure smooth operations of the sections.
    6. Participate in Projects/Business Process Improvement Plans
    7. Ensure prompt follow-up/resolution of outstanding items in Nostro/Custodian accounts.
    8. Ensure proper management approval is obtained for special waivers / reversals of trades.
    9. Loading of Manual advices into DMS.
    10. Deletion of auto generated advices wherever required (to avoid multiple advices for the client)
    11. Managing the account opening with external brokers and custodians.
    12. Preparation of quarterly management reports
    13. Yearly reporting to AD on the list of Accounts opened with Brokers.
    14. Participate in BCP documentation / drills and ensure staff is kept up to date on BCP drills/activation.
    15. Liaise with Front Office / dealers on necessary documentation for the processing of transfers settlement.
    16. Follow up and monitor the progress of failed transfers.
    17. Update status of any failed transfers by the stipulated settlement date in Failed Transfer Report.
    18. Handle queries on transfers and fees collection from Front Office.
    19. Ensure procedures and control measures are strictly adhered to.
    20. Reconciliation of daily documents received from LBS with their Control Checklist.
    Technical & Behavioral Competencies Essential knowledge and experience of Settlement and Swift processing Fluent in English (spoken and written). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Should possess strong fundamental and technical skills, awareness of operational risk. Excellent PC skills, especially in Excel. Able to work under pressure and exhibits strong problem solving skills. Understanding the importance of data integrity.
