Job Your role Do you know how to gain powerful and actionable insights into sometimes disparate IT vendor data Do you know how to coordinate & manage multiple UBS stakeholders Do you know how to engage with complex IT vendors/contracts Do you have the expertise to manage commercial IT/business requirements across key vendors Do you have the art or flair for crunching financial numbers If so, we are looking for someone like this to: - independently provide day to day support to IT supplier and category management for financial analysis, which helps management to take informed decisions - support management in preparing presentations, business proposals as per business requirement - engage in strengthening relations with key IT vendors - work with CTO/CFO teams, Product & Contract Managers to understand the IT Operating Plan (budgets) and identify the key cost drivers driving the cost for IT software and hardware - propose, lead & implement strategies towards tech rationalization, consolidation across the vendor landscape - review deliverables with our partners like ChainIQ on competitive tenders / RfX - engage in business transformation projects & initiatives towards seamless implementation of optimized solutions - independently work with various business streams within technology and execute cost reduction initiatives - work with centralized analytics team to obtain cost and spend reports - analyse software spend to draw down the license spend, maintenance spend and perform top tier, mid-tier and tail spend vendor analysis - conduct reviews on invoices / General ledger to identify misaligned / incorrectly allocated software costs - work with finance teams to transfer non-software cost from software cost lines - manage pipeline to create, track and manage pipeline initiatives for the business - work with finance teams to obtain sign-off to qualify savings on initiatives Join us At UBS, we embrace flexible ways of working when the role permits. Your team You will report to of the IT Category Manager, part of the Supply Chain organization, in Group Corporate Services (GCS). Supply Chain was created to enhance value identification and delivery within GCS, supporting UBS with its third party vendor management as well as with its Real Estate and Outsourcing footprint. Your expertise - You have 6 relevant experience in IT Software Supply Chain Management or IT Software Category/Sourcing Management - have a good understanding on IT Software and Hardware budgets, forecast and reporting would be desired - excellent presentation and analytical skills - strong in PowerPoint presentations and Excel - experience in contract reviews, contract bill rate analysis, PO budget analysis, invoice spend reviews - strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions - ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels in the organization - project management skills and proven track record of successfully completing projects on time - a driven self-starter who is comfortable working in a team environment but can also take the lead when necessary - are assertive and able to support your recommendations based on both experience and facts - MCIPS or any equivalent purchasing qualification You are: - a great communicator, you know how to engage with stakeholders and build networks - extremely pro-active and a team player, with a strong sense of ownership - an independent, engaged person who communicates openly, raises concerns & issues proactively - an analytical and conceptual thinker, with the ability to break down complex issues - willing and comfortable to work in an international environment - someone who can influence key stakeholders to make changes for the benefit of the firm - capable of building and implementing an IT SW sourcing strategy across a complex and multi-geography business so that P&L savings are maximized - keeping a good eye for detail and taking ownership of own work results - fluent in written and spoken English The role will be based on standard European working hours. foundit
