Title: Proposals/RFP Writer:Shift Timings: 2.30pm - 11.30pmApplication: Looking for only Mumbai based candidates Department SummaryThe Sales Enablement Group is part of the Investor Services (IS) sales organisation, reporting to the IS Americas Managing Director. The group contributes to the IS sales result by the creation and production of sales collateral (proposals & pitchbooks), the management & delivery of (information) assets to the selling organization and the design of marketing assets. In doing so, the group works in close partnership with subject matter experts from areas including sales, relationship management, marketing, client service, segment, product management, operations and pricing. The group consists of about 50 people organised functionally across four teams - Proposals, Presentations, Design, & Knowledge Management; and geographically across five countries - United States, United Kingdom, India, Philippines and Hong Kong. The group’s core objective is to help the firm win business…by building the best sales collateral, in the shortest amount of time, with the smallest time involved from Sales, Product and other subject matter experts. Position SummaryThis position is both accountable and responsible for actively project managing, creating and delivering best in class proposal documents. In addition, improve knowledge content so it can be utilized in future opportunities. Reporting to the Regional Team Leader, the Proposal Writer is responsible for the development and creation of customized, compelling and persuasive proposals for prospective and existing clients’ in-region.The role involves working with senior management, sales, client management and subject matter experts to collaborate in the writing and customizing of proposals. The proposal writer will utilize and contribute to a centrally managed database of component material whereby metrics and narrative are captured and leveraged globally, develop an understanding of the proposed solution, and incorporate bid strategy, organizational positioning and supporting messages and benefits into the proposals. Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities:Create best in class proposals for the Americas region as a main focus and other regions as and when required.Manage proposals, RFIs and due diligence documents - developing and executing excellence in written communications for stakeholders over a geographically dispersed regionProject management of multiple documents with tight deadlines (local and regional) Review and analyse proposal needs to determine key project requirements and construct tailored materials which correspond to clients’ needsGenerate initial draft using content database and other sourcesDefine, solicit and coordinate timely input from relevant subject matter expertsInterface with management and sales staff to ensure that the document meets client/prospect requirements and reflect sales strategyDrive the deal process and provide consultative input and direction toward completionCoordinate with subject matter experts and content manager to update central knowledge base as responses are created, developed and enhancedEngagement, liaison and project management of additional support/expertise when required i.e. graphic designerBuilding and maintaining relationships with internal clients over widespread geographic region, understanding cultural nuances, including language requirementsEngaging and communicating effectively with Regional Team Leader to keep him informed of activity in the regionRepresent the best interests of Investor Services and the Sales Enablement Group as the first goal in any interaction.Maintain team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) document, detailing step-by-step processes for BAU activitiesQualificationsBA/BS undergraduate degree required; Master’s degree and/or course work in finance or marketing preferred4+ years’ professional experience required3 – 6 years’ experience with proposals, sales support background, presentations and/or business writing/communications or marketingExperience in writing sales documents, understanding importance of key messages or USP (unique selling points)An understanding of securities services industry and productsA proven ability to engage stakeholders from across the business, around the APAC and off shore EMEA region, and form effective working relationships; requires strong communication and relationship building skillsAbility to work well and effectively under pressure and tight deadlines and managing multiple projectsExperience / understanding of regional cultural nuances (such as language or cultural considerations)Strong organisation skills, project management skills and the ability to continually re-assess prioritiesExcellent written/spoken English with strong business writing essentialProficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint requiredKnowledge and experience with SalesForce and Qvidian preferredExcellent interpersonal skillsSelf-starter with sound judgement and ability to operate unsupervised and apply initiativeConfidence and assertiveness and an ability to deal with all levels of management within J.P.
