Job Description

    Job Title: Business Development Officer (BDO) - Retail LiabilitiesKey Responsibilities:
    1. Identify Potential Catchment Areas: Target high footfall areas (apartment complexes, shopping areas, etc.) for customer acquisition.
    2. Build Customer Database: Generate leads via references, kiosks, door-to-door visits, and pamphlet distribution.
    3. Customer Meetings: Understand customer needs and present suitable banking products (e.g., savings accounts, loans, etc.).
    4. Clear Communication: Explain product features, requirements (e.g., locker charges, minimum balance), and documentation needed.
    5. Document Verification: Ensure customer documents are verified with originals and handled confidentially.
    6. Account Opening Process: Ensure accuracy in completing account opening processes, enhancing customer experience.
    7. Follow-Up Communication: Maintain communication on account status and offer additional products based on customer needs.
    8. Build Referral Network: Leverage new customers for references and lead generation.
    9. Sales Reporting: Regularly update and discuss Daily Sales Reports with the supervisor.
    Desired Experience:
    • Experience Range: 1-4 years.
    • Industry Background: Prior experience in banks, insurance, direct sales (e.g., Credit Cards, Telecom, Consumer Durables).
    • Profile: Field sales experience, meeting customers daily to explain products and build relationships.
    Hiring Criteria (Branch-specific):
    • 50% of hiring budget: Candidates with CASA (Current Account & Savings Account) acquisition experience, consistent incentive earners.
    • 30% of hiring budget: Direct sales experience (Insurance, Telecom, etc.), consistent incentive earners.
    • 20% of hiring budget: Fresh graduates, preferably from banking/sales training institutes.
    Skills & Requirements:
    • Languages: Working knowledge of English and fluency in the regional language.
    • Technical Skills: Basic MS Office knowledge.
    • Interview Process: In-person interview with supervisors, followed by telephonic/personal HR interview.
    This role is focused on customer acquisition, relationship management, and driving sales targets in the retail banking segment.
