    Restaurant: Prominent Food Service OperatorLocation: Navi Mumbai AirportDepartment: Kitchen CulinaryReporting To: Chef de Partie CDP Sous ChefAbout the OpportunityWe are a high-quality food service operator located within the new Navi Mumbai Airport, dedicated to culinary excellence with a strong focus on authentic Continental dishes. We provide a dynamic and supportive environment for ambitious chefs to master and advance their skills in a fast-paced, premium setting.Role SummaryThis combined Commis II III role is for an ambitious culinary professional ready to take on both fundamental and intermediate kitchen tasks. You will be actively involved in the preparation, cooking, and plating of various Continental dishes, demonstrating mastery of basic skills while developing complex station techniques.Key Responsibilities and Duties (Commis III & Commis II)
    • Preparation and Hygiene (Commis III Focus):
      • Execute all foundational preparation tasks, including the precise cutting, washing, and portioning of ingredients (mise en place).
      • Maintain an immaculate and sanitary workstation at all times.
    • Cooking and Production (Commis II Focus):
      • Assist the Chef de Partie CDP directly in cooking hot-line items and preparing simple side dishes.
      • Handle Garde Manger duties (salads, cold appetizers).
      • Assist in final plating and dish presentation according to recipe standards.
    • Operational Standards (Both Roles):
      • Prepare basic stocks and sauces for the Continental section.
      • Ensure proper labeling and stock rotation (FIFO) to minimize waste.
      • Follow all HACCP FSSAI guidelines and take direction effectively to maintain smooth service flow.
    Qualifications and Skills
    • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred, ideally with exposure to Continental or Western cuisine.
    • Education: Culinary certification, diploma, or relevant vocational training is highly regarded.
    • Essential Skills: Proficient knife skills and speed in food preparation. Strong working knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
    • Competencies: Ability to work effectively under pressure, follow multi-step recipes precisely, and contribute positively to a team environment.
