Job Description

  • Analyzing user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility for Automation, Performance and API Testing
  • Collaborate closely with Functional team members and departments
  • Automate all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
  • Design and develop Automation scripts with various test automation tools like Selenium and Robot Framework
  • Design and develop Performance scripts with various Performance Testing tools like JMeter
  • Design and develop API Testing scripts with various API Testing tools like PostMan
  • Execute Benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and other non-functional tests. Monitor application logs to determine system behavior. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
  • Provide timely solutions
  • Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle
  • Provide support and Plan documentation
  • Build automation libraries supporting the test automation tool / framework with the objective to improve the testing process
EnviRonmentWork must be carried out adhering to the organizational best practices. Degree of supervision provided to the candidate will be none or minimal for tasks related to testing of software applications. Candidate will be working in a team, and will be required to use his/her knowledge for building testing solutions for in-scope applications. Requires supervision and coaching from SLM or peers.ScopeCompletely responsible for testing of a group of tools as individual contributor.Impact DECISION MAKING Gathers relevant information to support problem solving and decision-making. Decisions taken will affect the deliverables for GCO Testing team. i.e. test execution cycle outcome, test metrices, overall product quality which is being tested by the team.   • Bachelor s degree (3/4 years - professional college: Technical / Engineering streams) with major/minor in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science/ Engineering or related science/technology field
  • 3+ Years of experience in GIS tools, testing software tools and workflows / processes
  • Experience with mapping technologies, GIS software and concepts
  • Experience in various test and defect management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, Zypher etc.
  • 1+ years of Experience in various test automation frameworks like Robot, Selenium, QTP, AutoIT etc. is good to have
  • Hands on experience on Java with Eclipse and Maven is required
  • Full understanding of End to End performance test process using JMeter
  • Experience in any programming or scripting language viz. Java, Python, Perl, Shell Scripting is required
  • Hands on experience on automation of Web based and windows desktop-based applications
  • Knowledge in interpreting XML Schema definitions in case of SOAP APIs, swagger definition or any high-level design and metadata information pertaining to REST APIs
  • Knowledge of database query and working knowledge of Rest API
  • Desired testing certifications viz. ISTQB, CSTE, CP-BAT, CP-MAT etc.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
