Job Description

Opening For a well known manufacturing company into PaintsPosition:- Manager Controlling & MISQualification:- CA CompulsoryExp:- 2-6Years POst CA in Manufacturing BackgroundJOb Location - Navi MumbaiJob Profile:-

  • Sets and maintains all standard costs on an accurate and timely basis
  • Ownership of all inventory and COGS accounts, including reserves and allowances.
  • Maintenance and accuracy of standard costing and reconciliation of variances and accounts
  • Reports and analyzes manufacturing variances (e.g. price, quantity variances) as reported on the COGS section of the P&L
  • on-going cost rolls on a periodic basis to keep standards cost structure current and month-end inventory reconciliations
  • Oversee and manage monthly accounting entries to record material and inventory consumption
  • Works closely with accounting, supply chain personnel and DGM - Commercial to analyses costing issues and initiates corrective financial actions
  • Works with purchasing, maintains a monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) report and establishes a capitalized PPV variance to be booked monthly
  • Calculates obsolete, excess and lower of cost of market (LCM) inventory reserves and all related reporting and present them for the DGM - Commercial review and approval
  • Prepares MTD/QTD/YTD inventory roll forward analysis based on sales forecasting process.
  • Provides audit oversight from a finance perspective on cycle count and WIP validation systems. Audits completeness and accuracy. Uses ABC analytics to set cycle count parameters annually
  • Develops metrics and tracking data for major cost drivers, identify potential savings in costs
  • Participates actively in the SAP system improvement project with the main focus on Inventory and Cost Accounting modules
  • Timely analysis and compilation of various MIS and reports. Track MIS from other departments and provide compiled reports to DGM Commercial.
  • Monitor the income and expenses vs. budget, present the variances periodically, recommend corrective actions and follow up on remedial actions to ensure the adherence to the budget and to support the effective monitoring of performance withinthe budget.
  • Gather and consolidate accounting and financial information for the preparation of Management report.
  • Take initiative to investigate and recommend suitable suggestions to DGM - Commercial to improve the effectiveness of accounting systems.
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Having Major experiance in Costing & Budgeting.
