For more information, visit Worley.com Description of the position:We are looking for a self-driven, curious analyst to be part of our global Market Services team. You will work with a team of consultants to support consulting engagements, as well as provide input for a suite of multi-client services provided by Advisian. We focus on the Energy, Chemicals and Resources sectors with a strong emphasis on sustainability, the Energy Transition and decarbonization of emissions intensive industries. Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake desk research in new energy, sustainability, power, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals and polymers.
  • Review and extract industry related information regarding regulations, policies, existing capacities, new projects, market demand, exports, imports, prices, etc.
  • Regularly update and maintain in-house market models and databases.
  • Co-ordinate and work closely with the global Advisian consulting team, providing regular data inputs.
  • Provide support for Advisian Market Services subscription services.
Key Candidate Attributes:
  • Broad understanding of the energy and downstream businesses, industry structure, production technologies, plant operations and economics.
  • Analytical skills including data analysis and modelling. Highly proficient in MS Excel and Power BI / Tableau.
  • Research skills including understanding and extracting information from various databases and industry publications / journals.
  • Good command of the English language in written and spoken forms.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs.
  • Self-starter, an independent worker and highly self-motivated.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Prepared to work in an environment of creative pressure.
  • Applies safety best practices to all aspects of the role

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or a physical science; B.Sc / B.Eng / B. Tech.
  • Postgraduate science or business degree an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a commercial or techno-economic role or within a technical, economic or market consultancy is desirable.
