Job Description

    Job Opening Purchase Engineer in Thermoplastic and Rubber plastic Manufacturers@ Navi Mumbai Company Profile: They was established in 1972. They are making electrical insulation materials and engineering products made of epoxy and fibre reinforced plastics.Designation: Purchase Engineer.Qualification: Diploma/BE - Mechanical / ProductionLocation: Nerul, Navi MumbaiExperience : Min 1 Years1. Independently handling purchasing activities related to production, systems and components, which include:
    • Procurement of items for production, non-production and raw materials
    • Processing of requisitions and purchase orders.
    • Preparation of requests for quotation
    • Purchase order processing
    • Checking confirmations of order, delivery note and invoice control
    • Coordinating and following up of schedules, deadlines and delivery dates
    • Resolving vendor grievances, and claims against suppliers
    • Vendor Development
    • Cost reduction through development of alternate suppliers and alternate materials.
    2. Interfacing with cross functional departments for ascertaining procurement plans of engineering spares.3. Floating enquiries, collecting quotations, making comparatives, developing and implementing key strategies for the purchase of materials from sources; achieving cost reduction in procurement and packaging.4. Identifying and developing potential vendors / suppliers for achieving cost effectiveness; assessing performance of the vendors based on their competitiveness, financial capabilities and productivityKey Responsibilities:
    • Handling Purchase activities
    • Handling Imports activities
    • Ensuring timely deliveries of the material
    • Vendor Development
    • Working with cross function department to fulfill the Customer requirements
    • Visiting Vendors for ensuring timely deliveries against the PO
