Operations (Husbandry) Manager Required for a Shipping CompanyDivision/ Department - Operations- HusbandryLocation - Mumbai, IndiaReports to General Manager - HusbandryJob Title Operations ManagerPurpose of RoleManage the overall operations of the team and be responsible for the teams productivity, quality control, process improvement and successful management as guided by the companies requirements set up for the operations department.The role would expect you to be:-1. Aware of the technical terms consisting of the spares of machineries, consumables in Engine room (E/R)2.Aware of the services required on board such as various surveys in E/R and deck. The services required from different type of the vendors for these surveys.3.The knowledge of normal management system operating the ships from ashore.4.Be able to identify and segregate the invoices as per the departments such as , crewing, medical expenses, travel charges, victualling etc. and in technical the charges of the supdt travel, on spot approved invoices for some services by supdt. Etc.Responsibilities & Duties1. Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions2. Analyze process workflow, employee requirements, implement changes3. Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed4. Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints5. Work closely with GM to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.6. Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings7.
