Job Description

    Objective of the Position: This position is responsible for the Development of Digitalization of Production and Technology across the manufacturing network in AS i.e. APAC w/o GCMain Tasks: In conjunction with the Global Product Family managers, coordinates the regional team to ensure effective and efficient deployment of digital solutions, while maintaining flexibility of resources. Is the primary demand planner for AS region & develops a view of regional demand and resource needs, which is provided as input to the Global Product Family Managers. Assists the Regional DDO in realising the Divisional Digitalisation Strategic goals Primary Liaison for Operations Leaders and Site Managers to ensure one voice for digital offerings. Advocates for digitalization, promotes and communicates cost /benefit understanding to stakeholders. Manages collaboration across different functional groups engaged in digitalization. Liaises with OD digital champions and site captains to. translate their roadmaps into viable actions to address business needs. Leads the APAC Community of Practice, promoting best practice sharing across operations stakeholders and key users. Reports status, progress and escalation of issues to Global Head of Digitalization of Production & Technology and to the AS Digitalization Steering Committee. Participates in global leadership calls, translates global direction into the region, and represents the regional viewpoint. Assists the multi-OD sites develop strategic plans for XA roadmaps and digital infrastructure, balancing cross-BU differentiation with the benefits of consistency and standardization. Presents and represents BASF at industry, interest groups and customer forums. Liaises with vendors based in APAC to build up constructive relations, provide BASF input for product development and innovation as well as escalating non-conformance issues up to the vendors management Develops cross-industry collaboration initiatives while managing proprietary information. Ensures the team activities and digital applications comply with regional legal and regulatory requirements. Assists sites with the development of academic relationships, training courses and digital partnerships to support a pipeline of digital-ready talent. Supports the Global Product Family Managers with the development of workstream relevant KPIs that meet business needs. Inputs regional requirements for the Product Family Budgeting process owned by the Global Product Family Managers. Identifies opportunities for cross Product Family synergies and data sharing across platforms for improved operational decision making. Maintains a strategic perspective and drives towards the factory of the future. Identifies elements of digitalization that require documentation, compliance with audit processes, and inclusion in management systems. Supports Agile Transformation. Represent GDD within the AS leaders group, contribute to broader GD topics and cascade information from that meeting back to the regional team. Role model BASF Core Competencies, Global Strategy, vision, mission, and values Ensure the application of all safety rules and required EHS/regulatory training, assuring personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors. Development and maintenance of clear roles and responsibilities in conjunction with functional managers. Managing STD, LTD, transition, accommodation process consistently across the team. Consistent enforcement of rules and policies. Effective knowledge capture, sharing and management. Effective change management. Effective and clear communication.
