Gender : Female/Male Industry : ITJob Role & Responsibilities:Role Overview : We are looking for a Mid-to-Senior Drupal developer to work on medium to large scale PHP and Drupal projects for some of our key clients across websites, apps, and everything in between. You will be working alongside a talented team of technical directors, developers, and dev-ops engineers and will be expected to contribute not only to the development of projects but the ideas and solutions that define them. You will be joining a small, nimble team run from our Mumbai office and you will report to and have support from our senior tech team in the UK. Alongside experience and technical expertise, the defining aspect of this role is the drive to constantly improve products and processes. You will be expected to contribute towards solutions to many of the challenges that we and our clients face and work with our team to define features and requirements. Experience with PHP is essential, especially PHP 7, as well as building sites on Drupal. Practical experience with Drupal 8/9 is required and any experience with Drupal 7 would be advantageous. As an organisation, we take pride in our craft, and you will do. We expect you to be fully up-to-date in the PHP landscape, including many of the features that PHP 7 has brought to the table such as scalar and return type declarations, as well as common best ractices such as efficient namespacing, dependency injection, and SOLID principles.Core Responsibilities :Building and supporting backend and frontend development of websites and application projects Producing appropriate and effective technical solutions April 2021 Working with a wider, distributed technology and project management teams to meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of code quality Understanding, defining, and communicating functional and non-functional requirements Working with our technical directors and project managers to define, scope, and estimate projects and features Working with QA teams to address bugs and ensure our work output is of the best qualityTechnical Requirements:Excellent written and verbal English communication Full exposure to both backend and frontend development on Drupal platforms A strong and demonstrable background working with Drupal, especially 8/9 Experience building custom integrations, services, and modules within Drupal as well as integrating with APIs Experience with Drupal templating using HTML5, CSS (SCSS is a bonus), and JavaScript and also the Twig templating engine Competent with MySQL and optimising query and table performance within a Drupal platform An understanding of performance within PHP and how to optimise it An awareness of optimisation on the frontend such as minification, compression, and caching An awareness of security and data best practices Confident estimating work effort based on defined requirements Source control using GIT including working with feature branching and pull requestsAdvantageous but not essential:Experience working with Acquia DXP or a similar enterprise platform Exposure to containerised or virtual environments such as Vagrant or DockerExperience writing efficient test suites for both unit and integration testing Exposure to other PHP CMS platforms and frameworks such as WordPress, Symfony, Laravel, etc Exposure to other programming languages and common frameworks such as JavaScript (NodeJS, Express, React) or PythonJoining : Immediate,
