Job Description

    Solution Designer -Order to Activate Job DescriptionO2A Solution Designer is a technical position requiring a strong background in IT solution design for Telecom operators. O2A Solution Designer is responsible for designing solutions for Order to Activation journey for Mobility, Enterprise, M2M and Fixed line business. Job involves creating detailed design documents considering functional and non-functional requirements working with cross functional teams to identify and assess impacts on OSS/BSS due to the new requirements.Job Responsibilities
    • Work with Business teams and /or business analysts for understanding, analysis and scoping of the requirements
    • Design O2A solutions for meeting business and operational requirements and deliver macro design work product
    • Ensuring that the solution provides an end-to-end view and includes details such as assumptions, design decisions, integration impacts, sequence diagrams, industry standards, performance, and scalability amongst others and is detailed enough for development teams to take it forward
    • Present the solution to all the stakeholders in formal walkthroughs
    • Guide the development teams , testers and QA team with respect to the design and work collaboratively with delivery team to ensure that all aspects related to solution are clarified at various stages of solution delivery
    • Actively look for opportunities for innovation and creative problem solving
    • Work within agreed project methodology/governance
    Key Skills
    • Strong understanding of Telecom domain from IT application perspective
    • Strong understanding of business process for Order to Activate in Telecom
    • Understanding of OSS/BSS and Enterprise applications in Telecom domain and their Integrations
    • Understanding of common system interfaces , integrations and data model
    • Knowledge of Industry standards for Telco architectures: eTOM, TAM, SID
    • Knowledge of IT architecture principles, IT processes & SDLC
    • Strong communication/presentation skills
    • Ability to work in a Team
    Experience
    • 6-7 years of experience of solution design in O2A area for Telecom operators
    • Experience of working with System Integrators, ISVs and in-house IT teams
    • Software development experience
    • Exposure to Rational Software Architect will be desirable
    Educational Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience
