Job Description

Sr DevOps Engineer (Embedded)Job Locations IN-Navi MumbaiRequisition ID 2021-59317 Category Research & Development Whats the role

  • Assess not-well-defined design requirements and develop a course of solution/action to meet the expectations of all critical stakeholders
  • Configure, run, monitor and improve complex CI/CD pipelines to support SW development and processing of location data
  • Apply and extended CI/CD tools and execute end-to-end ownership of your developed software stack, including DevOps and testing aspects.
  • Deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations develop, document and execute process/engineering solution for new/existing processes/solutions/products
  • Ensure efficient usage of underlying server infrastructure and cloud resources
  • Evolve CI and development environments to employ new technologies and changing requirements
  • Support engineering and test teams in using the CI environments
  • Participate in architecture and software development activities
  • Process engineering to perform requirements analysis, understanding the business requirement and design and develop optimized and customized solutions for customer. Solution depending on customer can range from design to testing and deployment
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards and develop ways to improve the monitoring and backlogs
  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of systems by documenting and designing various processes, updating existing processes
  • Use open-source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
Who are you
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or related discipline required or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • 5+ years of experience primarily focused in DevOps environment and maintaining high transaction production environment
  • Proven experience in DevOps working on large scale CI systems
  • Decent working knowledge of one or more public cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
  • Solid experience with design and implementation of embedded firmware that meets real-time, low-power, reliability, and security requirements, under hardware resource constraints
  • Good hands-on experience in DevOps tools like GIT/Stash, Gitlab, Jenkins, JIRA
  • Experience with Linux infrastructures, AWS, Kubernetes, Artifactory, Docker, CI/CD tools, Python, GitLab, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies
  • Experience with agile software development in C++, Java, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of scripting languages or programming (Python, Ruby, Bash) for the automation of CI tasks
  • Hands-on experience with integration, bring-up, testing, and debugging of software on hardware platforms
  • Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
  • Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential solutions clearly and confidently
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Deep knowledge either on Linux or QNX, and optionally Android Open-Source Project (AOSP)
  • Excellent collaborative skills as well as confidence in written and spoken English
  • Analytical approach and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead detailed process analysis
