We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join our growing team in India at either Gurugram (near New Delhi) or Airoli (near Mumbai).Organisation:Reports directly to the GBS IT ManagerLeads India region IT-PTS teamFunctionally reports to the IT-PTS Director for APACME regionIndirectly reports to the relevant NoE team on technology issues.Primary Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities associated with this post will include (but may not be limited to) the following:Actively involved with safety and BeyondZero principlesPromoting global engineering tools standards and work processes across Jacobs offices in IndiaRepresenting IT-PTS on the appropriate Network of ExcellenceResponsible for India based IT-PTS team s people management: recruitment, on-boarding, performance management and team buildingPromoting and increasing the usage of IT-PTS team for GIDEnabling higher percentage of GID work out of India through improved processesManaging India based IT-PTS team who are responsible for:Installation of CAD* & CAE** Engineering Tools from one or more vendorsProviding support and troubleshooting of CAD* and CAE ** softwareAdministration of CAD* & CAE** Engineering Tools from one or more vendorsConfiguration of CAD* & CAE** Engineering Tools from one or more vendorsSupporting project teams in their use of Engineering Tools.Delivering training to project teams in the use of Engineering Tools.Involvement in application development and innovation for automating design processes-Where denoted * CAD (Computer Aided Design) software includes but not limited to Autodesk/Bentley/Intergraph/Aveva including all derivatives, bolt-ons and verticals-Where denoted ** CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) software include packages for process simulation, mechanical design, stress analysis, etc.QualificationsEssential:Strong team management and leadership capabilities.Good experience working on projects within one or more AEC disciplinesPrior experience in the use and configuration of engineering software applications (eg. 2D/3D CAD, CAE, Collaboration & Data and information Management).Good understanding of engineering work processes.Self-motivated and results focussed with the ability to work with remote supervision and teams.A problem solving, conceptual thinker and able to work with complex systemsExcellent written and oral communicationA fast learner with a strong attention to detailAbility to communicate, train, effect change and implement improvements.Ability to work with software vendors considering both the needs of Jacobs and the vendor.Qualifications:An engineering or computer sciences related qualificationA certification in a relevant Engineering Tool would be an advantage, *
