Job Description

    • Design, implement, and administer of network infrastructure to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of core systems and services such as Cisco Wireless, WLC 8500, 5500, 2500, WISM2, WISM, Aruba WLAN, MOJO WLAN, Aruba Clearpass, cisco Radius, Cisco ISE, Cisco PRIME infrastructure, monitoring, patching, and backup devices;
    • Responsible for the design and continuous improvement of wireless network s architecture;
    • Proactively monitor network and system logs, respond to issues, troubleshoot and identify root causes, develop and implement technical resolutions;
    • Provide expertise in monitoring the use of support tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure, ACS, ISE;
    • Analyze and review system capacity to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands;
    • Act as wireless network subject matter expert (SME) for technical initiatives, innovation and ongoing support;
    • Assess, research, and analyze business and system requirements, explorer alternative options to recommend and design technology solutions to meet those needs;
    • Actively participate in and provide input to system architecture design, planning, and implementation of new systems;
    • Work collaboratively with other internal teams and vendors to ensure all aspects of IT project and support requests are met;
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to co-workers in the area of Network Administration;
    • Operate as an escalation resource for Help Desk end user support and help train junior staff;
    • Create and maintain in-depth documentation of company s existing network architecture/infrastructure including technology maps and diagrams;
    • Flexible in availability with regards to working hours and days scheduled required;
    • Some travel may be required;
    • Other duties as may be assigned within the scope of this position.
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
    • University Degree or equivalent;
    • Industry certification or experience with Cisco CCNP/CCNA in wireless required;
    • Industry certification with other networking technologies;
    • A minimum of 3 years progressive network design and administration experience in wireless.
    • Expert level working experience with network products, protocols
    • Ability to conceive and manage multiple projects and to set priorities;
    • Excellent network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent time-management strategies to handle a heavy workload at various time of the year and project lifecycle;
    • Willingness to work beyond core business hours / on call, if necessary to minimize business interruption during planned or unplanned network/system modifications;
    • Highly self-motivated and directed;
    • Superior communication skills;
    • Ability to present technical concepts and ideas to non-technical staff and management.
