As an experienced and highly driven Android SDE-3 at PhysicsWallah (PW), your role will involve leading the development of scalable, high-performance mobile applications used by millions of learners. This senior individual contributor position requires deep technical expertise, architectural ownership, mentoring capabilities, and the ability to drive engineering excellence in a fast-paced product environment.Key Responsibilities:- Lead end-to-end design and development of complex Android features and modules- Architect scalable, maintainable, and high-performance mobile solutions- Write clean, modular, testable, and production-grade code- Drive technical discussions and make architectural decisions- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams for seamless execution- Mentor and guide junior engineers (SDE-1 / SDE-2)- Improve app performance, reliability, scalability, and security- Lead code reviews and enforce engineering best practices- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues- Contribute to CI/CD improvements and release managementRequired Skills & Qualifications:- Experience of 69 years of strong hands-on Android development- Proven experience in building and scaling consumer-facing B2C applications- Experience in product-based or high-growth startup environments preferred- Prior experience handling large-scale apps with a significant user base is a plus- Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin with Java knowledge- Deep understanding of Android SDK, app lifecycle, threading, and memory management- Strong experience with modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)- Hands-on experience with Jetpack components, Coroutines, Flow, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger)- Strong understanding of REST APIs, networking libraries, and third-party integrations- Experience in performance tuning, crash analysis, and optimization- Strong knowledge of unit testing, UI testing, and debugging tools- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management- Understanding of modularization and scalable app architectureNo additional details about the company were provided in the job description.
