Job Description Job Title Purpose Job TitleCI Engineering Purpose of the Job:Lead and Provide input for CI Engineering activities in the sales and tendering phase of allproposals- identify technical risks and mitigation measures, interpret customer specifications andvendor proposals and manage the engineering risk approval process.Prepare maintain engineering project schedule for assigned scope, document and control allengineering deliverables as per company policy and ISO standards.Devise method, tools, process to continuously improve engineering quality, lead time andengineering cost reduction initiatives.Support site and QA inspection on as required basis.Establish continuous improvement and ensure Engineering adherence to quality and EHS processes.Play a Key role further expanding the business beyond its current activities. Position in the Organization Organisational Reporting AccountabilitiesDirect Report to : Head Engineering Network & LinksExternal: Plant owners, Sub Contractors, vendors, partners, consultants. Responsibilities: StrategicStructured alignment of NGSL Engineering activitiesAdhere to procedures to incorporate quality and EHS policies into the engineered solutionprovided by NGSL associated businesses.Ensure development of relevant engineering tools and processes to NGSL.Develop and build technical competencies required for assigned domain. OperationalSupport the ST Team with engineering related data to ensure complete scope is captured andany engineering / supply/ scope risk are identified.Lead and determine best possible engineered solution to maximize the outcome for NGSL withinbudget, schedule and specification.Standardized the engineering activities and breakdown engineering activities for assigned scopeinto manageable sub task.Prepare maintain clarity of documentation for project handover meetings- internal and externalwith customers.Ensure milestone activities during the entire process of project engineering are adequatelyprepared and effectively presented and regularly monitored.Ensure adherence to specified tools and processes as per company policy: Document Control, Project log, NCR/ CA, CoPQ etc.Support adherence and other external NGSL activities.Maximize the utilization ofresources. Job Requirements Education Requirements: CI Engineering degree with 2- 7 years of Experience Knowledge and Experience :Experience in instrumentation selection and installation, especially in Power Industry.Experience in preparing, reviewing cable schedule. Hook up Diagrams, installation drawing, control logic, instrument list.Experience in Power Industry, specially related to Retrofits.Must have experience in designing state of art DCS system/ control for power plant application.High degree of skills of problem solving, analyzing and decision making.Self- Driver with positive attitude. Competencies Technical Skills:Experience and knowledge of Power Plants design, OM, Maintenance concepts etc.Understanding of process of Power plants and integration related issues.Successful track record of engineering power plant CI projects, related to retrofit or green field. Behavioral Skills:Good Communication skills (both written verbal)Team player and Initiator,
