Job Description

Database Cloud Ops ManagerExperience - 10-15 YearsRequired skills.

  • 10-15 years of experience in managing databases on public/private cloud or On-premises.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Eye for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to understand business requirement and deliver it.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Good Understanding of structured query language (SQL)
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), object-oriented database management systems (OODBMS) and XML database management systems
  • Experience with their database software/web applications
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology
  • Experience in Database Installation and configuration
  • Understand Database Release Management
  • Expertise Database Administration for SQL
  • Knowledge around availability groups
  • Experience in database Tuning, upgrade, backup, recovery, and storage.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and MySQL databases would be added advantage.
  • Understanding of Audit/compliance reporting of SQL or other databases
  • Full-stack knowledge of Cloud PaaS Services for Applications and Databases
Responsibilities
  • Will be working for a range of clients to develop, manage and maintain a range of databases on public cloud platform (Azure)
  • Overlooking database design from PaaS standpoint
  • Monitor and Manage Database Health Checks, recommend best practices and optimal solution.
  • Training and managing junior staff in your team.
  • Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
  • Monitoring database efficiency for managed SQL Instances standalone as well as clustered DB nodes.
  • Designing and preparing reports for management
  • Developing protocols for data processing
  • Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted.
  • Training colleagues in how to input and extract data.
Degrees/Certifications EarnedBachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information TechnologyRelevant Industry certifications on Microsoft Azure, AWS & Google Cloud and any DBAOther10 or more years of IT experience.Exposure and working level knowledge of working with and interfacing to global delivery teams and the clients.Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with customers and teams.Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality.Willing to work in 24x7 model as needed.Strong verbal and written english language skills.EligibilityB.Tech,
