Job Description

    Overview:Major Responsibility/ Job Responsibility: Create Stored Procedure, Functions, and Triggers etc. Process data migration to Postgres , SQL Server, Oracle from various sources Verify and execute scripts developed by teams in Staging and Production environments Diagnose and resolve production issues Design, test and deploy database schemas Database performance tuning including identifying bottlenecks with suitable workarounds Create & Implement custom SQL scripts to automate various database operations including data migration Create and maintain database documentation Create performance benchmark conformance report for newly developed and altered functions. Assist software developers to achieve performance benchmark. Optimization of exiting database & business logic source code.Key Result Areas:Exposure to database design methodologies Good problem solving abilities Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team and individually Good team PlayerNecessary Qualification/ Technical Skills:3-5 years strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular database like Postgres,MySqLStrong experience in Indexing, Functions & Stored Procedures Ability to write SQL scripts for data migration from sources like excel, MS Access, csv/text file etc. Should be able to troubleshoot SQL queries for performance tuning Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statementsDesirable:Experience in short release cycles & full software life cycle.Entire SDLC knowledgeDemonstrated problem solving, analytic and troubleshooting skills. Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing itGood to have:Skills:PostgreSQL,MySQL
