Job Description

    We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our dynamic, nimble team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical development of our real estate and map-based products, driving the incorporation of new features, and solving complex problems involving large datasets. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies while mentoring a talented team.Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead development of new features for our rearchitected products.
    • Oversee technical development of real estate and map-based applications.
    • Solve complex data-related challenges (crime stats, schools, neighborhoods, etc.).
    • Maintain existing products, ensuring they meet current standards and technologies.
    • Advise the business on technical capabilities and options.
    • Collaborate with a small, agile team in an Agile environment.
    Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of experience designing and implementing data-heavy web applications.
    • 2 years front-end development experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
    • 2-5 years of Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL experience.
    • Familiarity with Web API development and AWS.
    • Experience leading small teams or serving as a technical lead.
    • Strong communication skills and self-directed time management.
    • Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Redis, MySQL, and AWS tools.
    Bonus Skills:
    • Agile/SCRUM experience, HAML, SASS, and Mapbox/Google Maps API experience.
    • Data mining and performance tuning for high-traffic applications.
