Once You Are Here, You Will Work with stakeholders to gather the requirements. Develop, test and deploy APIs. Writing tested, consistent, and documented Java Code. Cooperating with the front-end developer in the process of integrating the RESTful API. Communicating with external web services. Producing, maintaining, and modifying REST APIs. Ensuring APIS are developed using industry standard best practices. Fixing any issues or bugs that arise. Required Qualifications 6+ years experience in design and development of RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java 8/J2EE, Spring framework, Spring Boot, JPA, RDS Oracle DB and/or Apigee/API Gateway. 2+ years experience in containerization technologies (eg Docker) and container orchestration (eg Kubernetes). 6+ years experience & expertise in frontend development using HTML5, CSS3 and Responsive web application development. 3+ years experience in AWS services like S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, DynamoDB 1+ years experience developing in microservices architecture Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Preferred Experience in API layer security (e.g., JWT, OATH2), API logging, API testing, creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools desirable Experience in defining configuration approaches for microservices in multiple environments (eq: Spring Cloud Config, Consul, etc) Experience in working with messaging / streaming platforms using Kafka, Rabbit MQ or other message broker Experience in TDD, writing unit test cases in JUnit. Unit Test Frameworks: Mockito (Java), Junit (Java) Experience using test frameworks such as Fitnesse/Test API, Protractor; Functional Testing: Cucumber and Performance Test Tools: JMeter Proficient in SQL and Stored Procedures such as in RDS Oracle DB Experience with Unix, Linux Operating Systems preferably on AWS environment Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes Experience with Jira, Git/SVN, Jenkins, DevOps, CI/CD Ideal Mindset Lifelong Learner.
