Role Title: Jr. System AdministratorRole Vertical: ITYears of Experience: 3-5 yearsBase Location: Sector-125, NoidaIndustry: TelecomPreferred Industry: OpenMinimum Qualification: Graduate in IT or Computer ScienceKEY DELIVERABLES/ RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounterManage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systemsMonitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concernsCreate and verify backups of dataRespond to and resolve help desk requestsUpgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolutionAdministrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processesReview application logsInstall and test computer-related equipmentTo ensure that technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficientlyInstall, configure, maintain. upgrade and manage software, hardware and networks.Manage network servers and technology toolsSet up accounts and workstationsMonitor and maintain system performanceTroubleshoot issues and outagesEnsure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure through access controls, backups and firewallsUpgrade systems with new releases and modelsDevelop expertise to train staff on new technologiesBuild an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policiesEDUCATION/ DESIRED PROFILEGraduation in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or/and Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)) is a plusProven 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar roleExperience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch managementKnowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recoveryAbility to create scripts in Python, Perl or other languageFamiliarity with various operating systems and platformsResourcefulness and problem-solving aptitudeAbility to diagnose and resolve problems quicklyPatience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and usersGood Communication and listening skills,
