Job Description

    Client: NEC Position: BO Packet Core Engineer-L2 (Level: Consultant/SME) Location: Noida /Japan(If required) Exp: 6-1 0 Years 24*7 Rotational shift Desired profile & Job Knowledge: 1. Engineering Graduate in Telecommunication/Relevant experience in Wireless network operation & maintenance, NOC/GNOC operations experience is a must. 2. Advanced understanding of Packet core technologies used in Wireless network is a must (understanding of various Wireshark traces) 3. Higher level Skill/knowledge and operation experience of PS core node s is a must . 4. ITIL certification is an added advantage Wireless Network Skill & Knowledge: Operation-maintenance, troubleshooting & configuration of Packet Core Network Nodes like, SGSN, GGSN, MME, SGW, PGW, PCRF, CG, DNS server etc . Good understanding of MPLS Network elements and configuration. Good understanding of 5GC packet core architecture (AMF/SMF/UPF/ NSSF /NRF) and functioning Good understanding of Linux, network Virtualisation and Kubernates Process & Quality : 1. Knowledge and experience of MS Operations is a Must. 2. Knowledge of various processes used in Network Operations will be an added advantage. Soft Skills : 1. Analytical skills like logical thinking, problem solving & handling assignments are mandatory. 2. Excel, report generation, trend and analysis is mandatory. 3. Fluency in English Language oral and written communication skills are must. Responsibilities : Resolution of trouble tickets raised by NOC / Customer / LNOC Teams as per ticket SLA s Fault management on all NEs and follow up with support in case of escalated cases till the closure of the issue. Regular Node Health Checks Analysis of Network performance issues Implement network changes as per the CR process To do end to end investigation of faults/cause related to system/network problems. Support new Network node integrations and Acceptance. Managing & Configuration of IP Products like Router/switch/firewalls Ensure current license and software versions are suitable for the present network requirement. Able to verify and execute the plan provided by planning team. Capacity management and reporting in case of possible breach in capacity. Actively participate in RAN & CS Core Network element acceptance test for handover between delivery and MS/ Customer Liase with 3rd Party Suppliers / Vendors for resolution of the Faults / Problems needing vendor support. Validating and maintaining the Known Error Database (KEDB) for Wireless Nodes. Identify root cause of Priority 1 and Priority 2 Incidents and recommend appropriate resolution action and other events that Customer identifies as requiring Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Ability to provide clear and concise reports/feedback to peers and management, adapting the style of communication appropriately to the audience/receivers. Delivering results and Meeting customer Expectations. Interaction with customers as per requirement Acting as a SPOC for CR implementation Responsible for e2e closure of issues ,
