Location, Department Unit and ReportingLocation: NoidaDepartment: Public Policy and AdvocacyReporting To: Senior Director & Head Public PolicyJob Details/ Criteria Basic Functions/ Job Responsibility: Lead B2B policy initiatives focused on IT-ITES industry, technology based entities more generally. Some of the key focus areas would be -- GST, Labour, SEZs/ STPIs, Software Product Policy, IPR, Ease of Doing Business, Export Promotion, Preferential Market Access and B2B issues in Emerging Tech. Experience in only one area out of the above would not be sufficient.Represent NASSCOM with government, regulators and members at a senior level.Work with members, think tanks, research firms, consulting and law firms, multi-stakeholder to build robust policy views, policy submissions and research papers.Mentor and lead team members.Roughly 50-60% of the work will be based on individual contribution and rest based on co-ordination and management.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience: Ability to question status quo, think out of the box and an open mind to contrary view points.Excellent public speaking abilities in English.Published relevant research papers, blogs and opinion articles in reputed publications.Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.Self-motivated and an ethical mindset.Master of laws, post graduate qualifications in public policy or economics, chartered accountant.Minimum ten years of relevant work experience which the candidate can map to the required job responsibilities. Experience of representing the abovementioned focus areas with the Government and Regulators.Diverse experience of working with IT-ITES industry, directly or in a role with consulting firms.,
