Job Description

    Responsibilities for lead electrical engineer
    • Preparation of standards / specifications for the discipline
    • Assume other duties as may be required by the company from time to time
    • Provide functional and technical guidance in the initiation, design, development and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes and implementation of PLC, motion control and machine safety systems
    • Innovate, initiate, recommend, lead and implement product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $5 million from conception to commercialization
    • Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause
    • Have excellent technical problem solving skills
    • Be a technical expert in product / technology areas, maintaining an awareness of industry trends
    • Prepare variety of complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects
    • Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and company policies
    • Follow Capital Appropriation guidelines to stay in control of project finances and asset accounting
