Job Description

About the Opportunity

You are creative and analytical, strategic but execution focused, smart and have a zeal to get things done. You want to be out in front leading things. If this sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity to join DMI as Manager - Projects .

You will plan, design and execute the development projects as part of our global delivery organization. This role will require close collaboration with business and product owners to define, strategize requirements, plan timelines and eventually develop and deliver. You will lead cross - functional teams involving business analysts, user - experience design, architect(s), software developers and testers.

You must have customer focused approach, and passion to make project and the customers successful. You will need to lead by example and act as a role model for the team. You will be expected to work and collaborate in a global delivery model, thereby influencing people, processes and technology.

PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate good understanding of customer business and application solutions.
  • Work with a highly motivated and talented global team of web development specialists and ensure successful execution of tasks with quality results
  • Responsible for planning, execution, monitoring & controlling the projects to successful closure
  • Accountable for project deliverables within the budget, schedule, and of desired quality
  • Manage risks and issues in the development and implementation of the projects
  • Analyze and manage stakeholders that include client, management and the team
  • Ensure timely communication of issues and status, via meetings and reports to all stakeholders
  • Assist in pre - sales activities, like requirement assessment, estimation and project governance and execution proposals.
  • Responsible for team motivation, guidance and mentoring with a hands - on approach.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in IT industry, with at least 2 years of project management experience.
  • Hands on experience on projects involving Web development
  • Worked with global customers with team members spread across multiple geographies
  • Knowledge and experience of software development methodologies - Agile and Scrum
  • Exposure to sprint planning, user story grooming and estimation techniques
  • Exposure to various Project Management tools such as, Jira, TFS etc.
  • Understanding of Configuration and Release Management tools and processes.
  • Logically sound with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with great communication ability (verbal and written)
  • Have managed the time critical deadlines and changing priorities in a fast - paced environment
  • Strong people management skills, who can direct, manage and motivate the team

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Global delivery exposure and understanding of the onshore, offshore and hybrid team models
  • Have experience working in US or Europe geographies for extended period of time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering Graduate/Postgraduate preferably in the field of computer science or related disciplines
  • Certification(s) such as PMP, Prince2 ACP or equivalent is desirable. Will be expected to take it within 6 months of joining, with DMI s support
