It will also act as a sales channel for enterprise customers (excluding webscale customers) and its offering can include products and services from other business groupsJob DescriptionNW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimisation and / or managing of the optimisation of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects.The Performance & Optimisation Specialist performs solution monitoring, data collection, generation of daily / weekly reports, and a first level of analysis and problem identification in a domain of the customer solution (radio, access, core, application). Performs optimisation in terms of capacity, architecture, performance, analyses counters, and metrics on current capacity and usage. Forecasts traffic patterns to evaluate impact on current and future architecture. Recommends parameters tuning and design evolutions.Job Responsibilities & Competencies

• It involves network performance assessment, audits and network performance enhancements (optimization) on regular basis
• Identifies and solves proactively demanding problems and communicates them to key stakeholders for resolution.
• Ability to optimize network with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecast. Ability to compile Optimised system parameters to tune the network.
• Accountable for the timely development and delivery of complex engineering design and support deliveries, focusing mainly on the delivery of the customer GSM/UMTS/LTE core networks.
• Understanding of overall customer (managed services) network architecture with end to end understanding of traffic flow.
• Enhancement of network architecture design, and configuration (Data fills), Capacity planning, network interface analysis and design, and overall engineering support based on ongoing traffic trends.
• Provides technical network planning and optimization support to assist customers in network rollout/modernization. Prepares/compiles NOKIA (NET) product information/configuration source data.
• To proactively help Local NPO and Project teams identify and collect required inputs for network planning and optimization tasks
• Provides project engagement support within a remote delivery framework and ensures that all deliveries strictly adhere to negotiated deadlines.
• Familiar and up-to-date with latest guidelines, engineering rules on how to dimension and plan various network elements including IPA/DX/ATCA platforms.
• Applies Global best practices work instructions/processes/tools ensuring high quality and timely deliveries.
• Applies knowledge and skills to analyze and resolve complex network problems.

Skills:

• Sound knowledge on CCNA/CCNP/JUNCIA Concepts like, OSI, Sub-netting, STP, VTP, VLAN.
• Network optimizations KPI CPU, Memory, Temperature and Bandwidth Utilizations
• Knowledge on redundancy protocols like HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
• Knowledge on MPLS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, l2VPN and l3VPN
• Knowledge on the Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP, EiGRP, RIP
• Troubleshooting skills for issues related to VLAN, VTP, OSPF, BGP, VRF, IPSEC, GRE
• Good Knowledge on ether channelling, Access-lists, DHCP and loop avoidance
• Knowledge on the Security measures which need to be followed to prevent LAN outages and maintain uptime.
• Knowledge on QoS, IPSLA, Object Tracking, AS path prepend, Local preference.
• Knowledge on the concepts like route-map, prefix-list, distribution list.
• Basic knowledge on the concept of MPLS, IPSEC, VPN, SSL VPN, P2P.
• Basic Knowledge on the tools like Wireshark, ping plotter, HttpWatch, Tacacs, Radius, AAA,
• Knowledge on Network device IOS installation, Troubleshooting of device issues.
• Good knowledge on the concept of VRF, Spoofing, InterVLAN routing, CEF, FIB, RIB, ARP, FEX
• Knowledge on Stacking, VSS, SNMP, DNS, NTP, Broadcast, Multicast.
• Basic knowledge on handling WLC, Wireless APs.
• Knowledge on troubleshooting device CPU, Memory, TCAM utilization issues.
