Job Description

    Must Have:
    • A portfolio of work that showcases your design process along with finished design work. Applications without portfolios will not be considered.
    • Basic proficiency in digital design & prototyping tools such as Figma & Invision.
    What you need to do:
    • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable in the news space for tens of millions of users.
    • Explore multiple design approaches and create end-to-end flows that are simple and elegant for our supported platforms.
    • Effectively communicate your ideas and the rationale behind design decisions to people within the organization.
    • Proactively solicit and provide feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship.
    • Understand the metrics and data used to measure the impact of your design work and keep them in mind along with business goals to make quality decisions.
    • Define, craft and evolve designs within visual systems.
    • Work with engineers to ensure design quality and consistency of shipped flows and interactions.
    Who you need to be:
    • 5 years of experience in designing and shipping quality apps/features as a Product Designer. Mobile design experience with platform guidelines is a must.
    • You care about communication and can employ storytelling to paint a picture, build understanding and brainstorm initial design concepts.
    • A conceptual and human-centered problem solver. You seek to understand peoples needs, motivations and behaviors in order to translate them into impactful results.
    • You have an appetite for learning and evolving in all things. From design craft to process to industry and market trends you never stop pushing into the next big challenge and fit right into our growth-focused culture.
    • You love thinking big, and at the same time, you know when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail.
    • You care about the impact of your work. You have a point of view on how to evaluate the success of your designs.
