If you are looking for a challenge and passionate about protecting Microsoft and customer s assets in the cloud, Azure security team has the right role for you!As a principal software engineer in the Azure core security services (ACSS) team, you will help build new customer-facing services that will extend the portfolio of Trusted and Confidential Computing services for securing Azure customers. You will be responsible for leading the efforts to build high quality security cloud services in Azure. This position offers a unique challenge to build the services to provide security and simplicity for azure customers. You will be investing your time into solving hard problems, defining architecture, partnering, and ensuring high code quality, availability, scalability, and security of our services. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and productive engineering culture and cultivating this team to build best in class solutions that delight and protect our customers. 1. Lead the strategy and roadmap for Trusted and Confidential computing on Azure working in close collaboration with partners across C+AI and Microsoft.
2. Provide thought leadership in the confidential computing space.
3. Develop large scale security services that scale to millions of machines.
4. Solve significant technological challenges impacting the team and our customers.
5. Participate and provide high quality feedback in design reviews, code reviews and other team activities.
In this position, you will own end to end aspects of building and running highly available secure distributed services providing mission critical functionality for Azure., Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of software development experience delivering large scale services.
• 3+ years of experience in technically leading large scale projects.
• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A consistent history of successfully leading, designing, and implementing high quality software.
• Strong design and development experience that includes development in C#/C++/C, preferably with distributed programming models.
• Strong technical leadership to drive initiatives across organizations.
• Passion in building and designing very large-scale systems; prior experience in building large scale online systems is a big plus.
• Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills.
• Experience in Windows client, server OS security and applied cryptography is a strong plus. Ability to go deep in security features.
• Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical to success.
• The ability to multi-task while balancing short term and long-term needs is essential.
