SDE 3 Frontend (React / Next.js)

Job Description

As a highly skilled SDE 3 Frontend Engineer at a fast-growing OTT platform, your role will involve owning complex frontend systems, making architectural decisions, and mentoring junior engineers to deliver high-performance, scalable, and visually engaging user experiences for millions of users.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale frontend applications using React.js and Next.js- Own end-to-end delivery of frontend features, including architecture, design, deployment, and optimization- Build SSR/SSG-based applications using Next.js for enhanced performance, SEO, and scalability- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA teams- Optimize applications for speed, performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility- Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high code quality and maintainability- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team technical growth- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful / GraphQL APIs- Implement analytics, A/B testing, and performance monitoring for improved user engagement- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and suggest enhancementsRequired Skills & Qualifications:- 610 years of hands-on experience in frontend development- Strong expertise in React.js (hooks, state management, component architecture)- Extensive experience with Next.js (SSR, SSG, routing, API routes, performance optimization)- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3- Experience with modern styling approaches (CSS Modules, Styled Components, Tailwind, etc.)- Solid understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques- Experience working with REST APIs / GraphQL- Familiarity with version control systems like Git- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, product-driven environmentGood to Have:- Experience working in OTT / media streaming / high-traffic consumer platforms- Knowledge of video streaming workflows, DRM, or media players- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, React Query, etc.)- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)- Understanding of SEO, analytics, and monitoring toolsIf any additional details of the company were present in the job description, they would be included here.
