The role combines client management, project management, technical understanding, commercial awareness and execution discipline.Educational Qualification
• Bachelors degree in Architecture (B.Arch.), Interior Design, Product/ Furniture Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• MBA/ PGDM in Project Management, Operations, Marketing or General Management, or a formal Project Management qualification such as PMP, will be an added advantage and is not mandatory.
• Candidates from other educational backgrounds may be considered where they demonstrate strong experience in retail fit-outs, furniture/ fixture manufacturing, client servicing and end-to-end project management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Ownership:
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients/ projects after commercial handover.
• Understand client requirements, specifications, timelines, approval processes and site constraints.
• Build strong relationships with client project teams, architects, consultants and PMCs.
• Conduct structured project kick-off meetings and provide project updates.
1. Project Kick-off & Requirement Freeze:
• Ensure clarity on approved scope, BOQ, drawings, specifications, finishes, quantities, samples, delivery locations, installation requirements and timelines.
• Create and maintain a Project Requirement & Responsibility Matrix.
1. Project Planning & Tracking:
• Track the project through Requirement Drawing Approval Sample/Prototype Material Production QC Packing Dispatch Installation Snag Closure Billing Closure.
1. Drawing, Sample & Approval Management:
• Coordinate GFC/shop drawings, material and finish approvals, mock-ups, samples, prototypes and technical clarifications.
• Maintain an Approval Tracker and ensure production uses the latest approved information.
1. Change & Scope Management:
• Assess every client change for impact on cost, quantity, material, engineering, production, delivery and installation.
• Maintain a Change/ Variation Register and secure documented instructions and commercial approvals where applicable.
1. Internal Coordination:
• Drive closure across Business Development, Costing, Design & Engineering, NPD, Purchase, PPC, Production, Quality, Packing, Dispatch, Logistics, Site Installation and Finance.
1. Production, Dispatch & Installation Readiness:
• Monitor manufacturing progress against committed dates.
• Before dispatch, verify quantity completeness, approvals, QC, packing, hardware, documentation, transport and site readiness.
• Coordinate access, working hours, unloading, storage, installation sequence, safety requirements and other site dependencies.
1. Snag & Issue Management:
• Maintain a structured snag/ issue tracker with project, location, item, issue, date, photograph, root cause, responsibility, corrective action, owner, target date and closure evidence.
1. Commercial & Billing Responsibility:
• Track order value, approved variations, additional work, deductions, installation extras, dispatch value, billing milestones, retention and pending documentation.
• Treat project completion as scope delivery snag closure documentation completion billing readiness.
1. Client Communication & Escalation:
• Maintain disciplined minutes of meetings, weekly updates, approval reminders, delay/variation notifications, site issue records, dispatch notifications and snag closure reports.
• Follow a 24-hour acknowledgement principle for client communications and proactively communicate known project risks.
Candidate Profile & Skills:
• 8 - 15 years of relevant project/client servicing experience; strong preference for retail fixtures, shopfitting, furniture, fit-outs or project manufacturing.
• Experience managing large national or international brands is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and BOQs and understand furniture/fixture manufacturing and site execution.
• Strong project planning, commercial awareness, negotiation, documentation and closure capability.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets/project tracking; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and demanding client timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to engage client leadership, PMCs, designers, factory teams and site teams.
