Job Description

    WSP is seeking a Senior Engineer-Energy Advisory with more than 7 years of experience to join our large and growing Environmental and Sustainability team to work with our Middle East Advisory Services team. The successful applicant will operate within a team of environmental and sustainability professionals in Bangalore/Noida, delivering the highest standards of technical work and aiding the continued success of the E&S team by being an integral part of our client-focused delivery of projects. As a senior engineer in energy advisory, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing building systems to achieve optimal performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability. You will be responsible for conducting detailed simulations, analyzing building physics data, and providing recommendations to improve energy performance, thermal comfort, and indoor air quality. If you are passionate about building physics, energy efficiency, and sustainable design, we invite you to. join our team and make a positive impact through your work.Responsibilities: Conduct detailed building energy modeling simulations using industry-specific software to evaluate and optimize building energy performance, including HVAC systems, lighting, solar shading, and renewable energy options. Analyze building physics data, including thermal and indoor environmental quality measurements, to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhanced building performance. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate energy-efficient solutions and sustainable design principles into building projects from the early stages through construction and occupancy. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to communicate findings and proposed strategies to clients and project stakeholders effectively. Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability standards and certifications, such as LEED, WELL, or BREEAM, by ensuring compliance with relevant criteria related to building physics. Collaborate with the larger team at WSP to develop innovative solutions, contribute to research projects, and share knowledge within the company.Requirements: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, building physics, energy engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred. 710 years of experience working in a similar role involving building energy modeling, performance simulations, and building physics analysis. Proficiency in industry-specific software, such as IES VE (Mandatory) Strong knowledge of building physics principles, energy codes, and sustainability standards. Experience with energy-efficient design strategies, including HVAC system optimization, renewable energy technologies, natural ventilation, and daylighting. Familiarity with sustainability certifications, such as LEED, WELL, or BREEAM, and their requirements. Ability to interpret and analyze building physics data, evaluate results, and propose feasible solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
