Job Description

    Senior Engineer - Firmware Development3 - 6 yearsNoidaPerson shall be responsible for architecture and design of smart metering/gateway products.Person must have excellent executional skills in C/C++, RTOS based development and metrology (preffered).Person should have prior knowledge of device driver development for various peripheral on 32-bit ARM based microcontroller.Person must have background experience of LAN, HAN and WAN development.Person should have very good knowledge of communication interfaces such as Wifi, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, HDLC, USB and RS485 and Wired/Wireless MBUS .It would be good if person has worked on GSM/GPRS/UMTS/LTE (2G, 3G, 4G), TCP/IP, DLMS, Zigbee etc.Person should be having experience of working in SVN, TFS, VSS and quality processes. Person should have very good knowledge of embedded FW development and test processes.Person should be fast learner with effective communication able to work with autonomy.Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:Overall architecture ownership, design and developmentFW Design, implementation and debugging for resolution of complex issuesAble to provide robust and stable design with optimum resources in terms of memory and processorAble to handle multiple projectsSource control, version management and defects management-SVN, TFSCommunication with multisite global teams for requirements gathering and discussion on architectural topicsSelf learner, able to work with autonomyExcellent domain knowledge in communication technology and good knowledge of metering domainRelevant tertiary qualification - B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech in Electronic or Computer engineeringC programmingC++, Shell scripts and Object oriented methodologyRTOS and Embedded FW developmentTCP/IP, Networking technologiesCommunication interfaces Ethernet, Wifi, USB, SPI, I2C, RS485 etc.Smart Metering/GatewayCommunication technologies:- WLAN, WiMax, 3G/4G, LTE, WMBUS, DLMS, IDIS, CII, ZigbeeSecurity protocols like PKINIT, TLS and IPSecHardware-16/32 bit microcontrollers (preferably ST, Renesas and TI devices)Relevant tertiary qualification - B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech in Electronic or Computer engineering
