Senior Lead Software Engineer-Java

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer- Java Backend at Clarivate, you will be a key player in the development team, showcasing your passion for software development and technology along with your strong technical and problem-solving skills. You will be expected to have a clear understanding of development trends and a broad knowledge of development paradigms, while demonstrating excellent organizational skills and familiarity with the full software development life cycle.**Key Responsibilities:**- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and create technical documentation.- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests as part of an automated Continuous Integration pipeline.- Contribute to group improvement activities to enhance process and product quality.- Troubleshoot and debug issues during development, testing, and production.- Stay updated with new technologies and trends in software development.**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with technologies like Java 11, File I/O, Multi-Threading, Collections, Spring Boot, microservice architecture, and AWS cloud.- Good understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.- Strong technical background with experience in server-side frameworks, event-driven architecture, and system integration patterns.- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.- Proficiency in using AWS serverless resources such as Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, and S3.- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, and bitbucket.- Experience with continuous integration and continuous development pipelines.**Additional Details:**At Clarivate, you will be part of the IP Content team responsible for processing and delivering high-quality patent data from various input source formats. The team comprises Software Engineers, Testers, Leads, and Release Managers working collaboratively towards common goals.You will be working in the IST time zone for 9 hours per day, including a 1-hour lunch break, in a hybrid work model that offers a flexible and employee-friendly environment.
