As part of the IT organization, you will lead a team dedicated to enhancing and supporting Kronos suite of Business and Web Applications in a matrixed reporting environment. Under your direct leadership, the team will be responsible for understanding functional requirements and developing scalable solutions that align with the requirements, documented development standards and the overall IT strategy for Business and Web Applications. The Senior Manager, Application Development must be forward-looking evolving development standards to drive down technical debt, identifying technology and practices that can drive development efficiencies and address challenges not yet visible. Responsibilities include: 1 Development Standards
Define, document, communicate and enforce development standards (process and tools) Define, document, communicate and manage data-driven processes for continuous evaluation and evolution of development standards 2 Technology Evolution Recommend technology platforms to enable improvements to the quality and effectiveness of the development team Proactively identify opportunities for reducing technical debt Maintain, prioritize and deliver against a backlog of internal improvements (e.g., technical debt reduction, new efficiencies, tool deployments, etc.) Working in a matrixed environment, champion opportunities for improvements to be delivered by the Application Development team Recommend technology required to deliver against IT s 5-year roadmap 3 HR Operational Management Define, document and communicate monthly, quarterly and yearly metrics for the development team Manage a hard-line and a matrixed global team of resources across IT to deliver against projects, enhancements and production support Partner with matrixed and global leadership to align Development resources to deliver value across multiple lines of business effectively
Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on development experience with Salesforce.com andor Oracle eBusiness Suite 2+ years of experience managing a global development team in a matrixed environment Experience managing production support, enhancement, and project-related activities Demonstrable understanding of development best practices Experience with SharepointO365 andor Drupal is a plus Experienced with DevOps methodologies and Continuous Integration practices and tools Ability to build collaborative relationships among many diverse groups, working in various time zones, who are pursuing disparate goals including Kronos upper management Demonstrable understanding of Waterfall, SDLC, Agile andor ITIL methodologies Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, in order to work and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
