The Senior Revit Technician will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient electrical system designs and collaborating with teams to deliver successful projects.Responsibilities Design and Drafting: Utilize Revit software to create comprehensive electrical systems drawings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems, while adhering to industry standards, codes, and project specifications. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the engineering team, project managers, and other internal stakeholders. actively participating and contributing to project meetings, offering technical expertise, and ensuring seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle. Project Coordination: Coordinate with the architectural and structural engineering teams to ensure the integration of electrical systems within the overall project design, resolving conflicts, and identifying potential design issues proactively. Systems Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of electrical requirements, load calculations, voltage drops, short-circuit analysis, and lighting calculations to determine optimal system designs. Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive reviews of electrical systems drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and project requirements. Documentation: Prepare and maintain clear, concise, and accurate project documentation, including specifications, schematics, reports, manuals, and other necessary technical documentation related to electrical systems. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and advancements related to electrical design and Revit software, actively seeking opportunities to enhance design processes, workflows, and efficiency. Mentoring and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Revit Technicians, helping them enhance their skills and knowledge in electrical design and Revit software usage.Requirements Education: Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Revit Technician, preferably specializing in electrical systems. Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Revit and other relevant software applications (AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.). Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and present complex technical information concisely. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and meet project deadlines. Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in technical drawings and documentation.
