Senior Software Engineering Lead

As a Software Developer at Optum, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing enterprise software solutions that are scalable, resilient, and high quality. Your responsibilities will include the following:- Collaborating with business analysts, project managers, and business customers to better understand the problem at hand- Developing re-usable components and frameworks to solve complex business problems- Conducting code reviews to ensure alignment with pre-defined architectural specifications and coding best practices- Focusing on delivering rich user experiences that meet users needs- Mentoring and providing direction to junior developers- Driving the future technology, architecture, and methodologies used by the team- Building influence outside of IT to understand real-world problems and offer solutions- Developing reusable patterns/services to solve business problems- Participating in Architecture/Technical design sessions and Scrum ceremonies- Monitoring, debugging, and refactoring code to improve software performance- Developing system architecture and documentation for existing applications- Performing technical analysis to troubleshoot application code-related issuesQualifications required for this role include:- Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other technology-related fields- 10 years of technical experience designing and developing large enterprise solutions using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL Server, Entity Framework, microservices architecture, and domain-driven design- 6 years of technical experience designing and developing web solutions using Angular, React, Kendo, NgRx State management- Experience in building and deploying solutions in Azure- Experience leading diverse teams and providing technical direction- Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies- Ability to research new technologies and initiatives- Ability to determine best architectural approachesPreferred qualifications include exposure to DevOps, proactive and action-oriented mindset, solid communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to work effectively with all levels of the organization.At Optum, you will find a culture guided by inclusion, talented peers, comprehensive benefits, and career development opportunities.
