Job Description

    Positon Goal:
    • Design and verify mobile core, SDN and IP solutions.
    • Work closely with engineering team and PLM to design, test and verify the proposed solutions.
    Responsibilities:
    • Identify of key Use Cases; agreement on key acceptance criteria.
    • Derive products and solution requirements into deployable/testable design in the lab. The design and test plan shall be coordinated with PLM team and engineering team.
    • Perform requirements designation and importance analysis; perform verifiability analysis; perform risk analysis.
    • Develop E2E Solution Architecture and support to High-Level Design (multiple technology domains).
    • Perform Use Case Analysis, scenario determination and develop sequence diagrams to support the requirements analysis, architecture & high-level design activities.
    • Review HLD/LLD/Interface Specification
    • Review roadmap alignment with solution to be implemented with PLM engagement.
    • Provide key inputs and be accountable for technical decisions relating to system requirements and system architecture/design.
    • Requirements & Design traceability.
    • Maintain traceability between requirement sets (Customer, System, Subsystems and System Elements), maintain traceability to architecture and design documents; support traceability to verification activities.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor / Masters in Engineering or 8-10 years of experience in the telecom industry, dealing with mobile core, SDN, IP and MPLS technologies (IGP, LDP/RSVP/SR, L2/L3 services, BNG, NAT)
    • Knowledgeable on Mobile core, Virtualization, SDN & NFV concepts and related technologies.
    • Must be hands-on
    • Able to perform end-to-end testing of mobile core + IP + SDN
    • Must have presentation skill and comfortable talking with customers/public
    • Knowledgeable on service provider deployment/operation is a plus
    Experience:
    • Hands-on experience including design, build, deploy, trouble-shooting & fault-finding, etc.
    • Experience in designing and delivering mobile core, SDN and IP/MPLS Network and solutions
    • Detailed understanding of mobile core, SDN and IP/MPLS concepts and related technologies
    • Strong Linux/Unix shell and datacenter networking knowledge
    Technologies/Products:
    • Nokia SDN & NFV portfolio Nuage, vEPC, VSR, NSP, SSG, etc.
    • Nokia IP Router portfolio - 7x50 XRS/SR/ESS/SRa and 7705/7210 portfolio
    • Nokia EPC/CPC portfolio - SGW, PGW, MME, SGSN and vEPC
    • VMWare ESXi, vCloud/vCenter, OpenStack, CloudStack, OpenFlow, KVM, Xen, Hyper-V
    • RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Java, Python/Perl etc.
    • Social Skills (behavior, attitude, language knowledge, )
